(UPDATE) The Register invited nearly 20 candidates who were seeking the Democratic, Libertarian, or Republican nomination for president to speak to fairgoers. Candidates had to meet certain eligibility criteria such as campaign activity, political experience, and fundraising before receiving an invitation.
