Indiana voters won’t be heard as long as ballots have straight-ticket choices, elections remain unaccountable, and politicians choose their districts. Ranked-choice voting and instant runoffs would restore power to voters” says Chase Oliver, Georgia candidate for U.S. Senate.
Former Libertarian Senate candidate Chase Oliver supports ranked-choice voting. “It saves the taxpayer's money, it saves time, and it prevents the drop-off of voters from a runoff,” says Oliver. “Paired with ballot-access reforms, we will see more choices on the ballot, bringing more voters out to vote.”
Oliver, Rolling Stone's “Most Influential Libertarian,” visits Indiana March 3-4 for the Libertarian Party of Indiana state convention, his second visit since announcing his presidential exploratory committee in December.
Oliver will join LPIN members on Friday at 6 p.m. at Pinheads, 13825 Britton Park Road, Fishers, IN 46038.
He will greet delegates the following morning at the annual convention at the Forum Events Center, 11313 USA Parkway, Fishers, IN 46037.
Oliver was the first openly gay Senate candidate in Georgia, where he garnered over 80,000 votes and forced a runoff between the Republican and Democratic candidates. He is exploring a run for the Libertarian Party nomination for President in 2024.
Delegates will choose the Libertarian presidential candidate at the party’s national convention on May 24-26 2024 in Washington D.C.
